Treasures Close to Home

Sometimes we all need to get away. If finances prevent you from spending two weeks in the tropics, you might try taking a short trip through the forest or mountains close to home.

I have recently had the privilege of traveling back and forth across White Pass. Although my purpose was business, I made sure to build in some time for side trips and scenic viewpoints. I have enjoyed the rushing Tieton River, beautiful gold and red fall colors, thick stands of trees filtering the soft autumn sunlight, and quaint little towns along the way.

Remember the treasures right in your own backyard, and take time to enjoy them!
