I really like this quote. It reminds me of the typical water cooler discussions about the best commercials on television. We can all think of funny, clever, memorable commercials, but who gets the credit? The company paying for the airtime, of course – whether it is a fast food chain or a car manufacturer. None of us can name the advertising agency whose creative teams spent hours developing the concepts and sleepless nights planning every detail of the successful commercial or campaign. It’s okay. Those of us in this industry understand that we won’t enjoy the spotlight. We take satisfaction in helping our clients achieve the credit. We know that if they’re hearing good things about their commercials, website, or printed materials, then we have done our job well.
